I am a graduate of the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy in Toronto and have been a Registered Massage Therapist since 1998.
I enjoy being active! I adore being outside in all seasons and enjoy taking my two Border Collies for long hikes with my daughter and husband in the area surrounding our Hastings home.
I thrive on the variety of challenges that being an RMT offers. I am constantly learning; both from my clients, and through ongoing education and training.
After working as an RMT at clinics, spas, and hospitals as well as sporting and charitable events, I endeavoured to open my own clinic. In 2010 Hastings Massage Therapy became a reality and I now dedicate all of my time to it! The clinic, located in Hastings, ON, is centrally located to Norwood, Warkworth, Campbellford, and is only 35 minutes from Peterborough and Cobourg.
My philosophy of care is to provide treatments which are both effective and enjoyable. Clients leave the clinic feeling wonderfully relaxed, along with a sense of balance and well being. In addition, I try to empower my clients to take charge of their own healing! By determining the causes of pain, I can suggest practical changes in daily activities, and provide self-care strategies to help extend the effectiveness of a massage after the treatment, and help reduce the need for further treatments.
